A 62-year-old man took his own life in the toilet of ward 7D at Hospital Serdang (HS) at around 7.40pm Friday, 27 March
He had tested positive for COVID-19 and was admitted for a self-isolation period.
According to Sepang police chief Assistant Commissioner (ACP) Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof, the senior citizen was warded at the hospital at 2.30pm on 26 March, reported New Straits Times.

Malay Mail reported Wan Kamarul as saying that their initial investigations showed the patient had depression problem and "also flu, cough, and breathing difficulties after testing positive for COVID-19."</p>
The patient’s body was discovered by a nurse on duty
“A nurse called the Serdang police station to inform about the incident at 7.40pm yesterday. After receiving the alert, police officers rushed to the scene. The officers had to don personal protective equipment (PPE) before analysing the scene from a safe distance,” ACP Wan Kamarul was quoted as saying.
