There is a rally taking place at Dataran Merdeka as we speak.
The rally was called right after Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was announced as the eighth Prime Minister of Malaysia by Istana Negara.
According to a SAYS writer, present at Dataran Merdeka, a crowd of about 200 people have gathered there
As the number of the crowd present at the rally grew over the last half an hour, police personnel who were around the area came and turned on the siren, our reporter added.
Despite the police presence there, people are still coming in to join the rally.

The rally is happening after the Kuala Lumpur police chief issued a warning, saying that the organisers did not seek police permission
"It's an illegal rally as it will be done all of sudden, there's no notice and it didn't follow procedures, I advise people not to attend this rally," Mazlan Lazim was quoted as saying by Astro Awani.

The organisers will face legal charges if they proceed.

Meanwhile, cartoonist cum activist Fahmi Reza was also spotted at the rally. He was carrying a caricature of Muhyiddin.
Several other rally-goers brought other signs to express their voice
