1. Keanu Reeves in ‘Always Be My Maybe’
There’s so much to love about Ali Wong and Randall Park’s Netflix romcom but of course, Keanu Reeves as himself in the film was the icing on the cake. Yes, we know. Ali Wong is one lucky gal!
Ever since he made his appearance in Disney+’s ‘The Mandalorian’, he’s been taking the Internet by storm. Everyone wants more of this cute little creature.
3. Henry Cavill as Geralt in ‘The Witcher’
Whether you’ve played the game or read the books or neither, you’d still believe Henry Cavill looks the part. Even the author of ‘The Witcher’ book series loves him as Geralt. The series, which premiered on Netflix just before Christmas, has already received a host of good reviews.
“I am Iron Man” – yes, he was. Just one snap and Thanos is vanquished. Needless to say, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ upset a lot of fans with Tony’s death. They felt he didn’t need to die. But it happened so all we can say now is that we love him 3000.
5. Arya killing the Night King
It was so fast, so abrupt, so sudden! Arya stole the show in the last season of ‘Game of Thrones’. The build-up through seven seasons reached its climax at this moment when Arya stopped Winter from winning. Although fans of the series had much to say about this last season, this scene left jaws dropped. We did not see it coming!
6. The scene where Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker dances on the stairs
Joaquin Phoenix’s iconic stairs dance scene in ‘Joker’ has turned what was just an ordinary staircase in the Bronx into a tourist trap. But if we are being real, his dance to Gary Glitter’s ‘Rock and Roll Part 2’ was pretty unique and a damn good one too.
7. Damon and Bale’s relationship in ‘Ford v Ferrari’
Even if you’re not into cars, this racing movie manages to appeal with its storytelling of a real-life event. What captured our attention the most is the key relationship between Shelby (Matt Damon) and Miles (Christian Bale). Their belief in each other’s strengths and weaknesses, the trust, the friendship, brotherhood, and their passion for racing easily makes us all wish we too have a relationship just like that.
8. Jharrel Jerome’s performance in ‘When They See Us’
Jerome delivers a knockout performance in Ava DuVernay’s mini-series. His portrayal of Korey Wise, one of the wrongly accused Central Park Five, earned rave reviews and the 21-year-old won the ‘Best Lead Actor in a Limited Series’ Emmy for it.
The furry feline easily became the breakout star in Marvel Studios’ ‘Captain Marvel’. Besides being adorably cute, Goose – which is actually an alien species called Flerken that looks like a cat – manages to kill some bad guys, saves the Tesseract by swallowing it, and also, scratches Nick Fury’s eye out.
10. The knife fight scene in ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’
Keanu Reeves definitely deserves a second entry, this time as John Wick. The third chapter was packed with lots of action but this knife fight scene in its opening stands out.
11. Olaf recaps Disney’s ‘Frozen’ in the sequel
In the sequel to 2013’s hit movie, in an attempt to bring the Northuldra and some Arendelle soldiers – who have been trapped in an enchanted forest for years – up to speed, Olaf stole the show by delivering a funny and dramatic recap of the first film.
12. Chris Evan’s ‘Knives Out’ sweater
In Rian Johnson’s ‘Knives Out’, Chris Evans throws out his old tight Capt. suit to don a white sweater, which had most ladies gasping. And just when you think, he can’t get any cuter, Evans shared a picture of his dog, Dodger, rocking a mini version of his sweater.
13. Bloodbath birthday party in ‘Parasite’

This Korean comedy-thriller received widespread critical acclaim and is considered as one of the best movies of 2019 by film critics. Everything you thought would happen in the story’s plot did not, and instead, you’re taken for a wild ride. Most notably, the birthday scene which turned into a horrifying bloodbath. Written, produced, and directed by Bong Joon-ho, ‘Parasite’ became the first Korean film to win the Palme d’Or.
14. Lupita Nyong’o’s dual performance as Adelaide and Red in ‘Us’
Let’s be honest. This show really gives us the creeps. Doppelgängers who want to kill you and take over your place in the world. While all of the characters had their ‘tethered’ half, Nyong’o’s scarily good performance as both Adelaide and Red in Jordan Peele’s ‘Us’ is superb.
15. The Samoan showdown in ‘Hobbs and Shaw’
In true ‘Fast and Furious’ fashion, this spin-off too was filled with lots of nonsensical action, explosions, and yeah, you get it! But, a spin on ‘Hobbs and Shaw’ is the inclusion and introduction of Dwayne Johnson’s Samoan culture with the Siva Tau fight using ancient weapons.
